ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF... Hey there! I'm Jamie. Welcome to my page.
Learn a little bit more about me...
In May 2020, I graduated from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, where I studied multiplatform journalism. I have know that I wanted to pursue a career in journalism since I was a little girl. When I was 7 years old, I became the creator, publisher, editor and sole reporter for The Paper News- a newsletter I would email out to my family members. Its distribution cycle was not regular, rather based on whenever my 7-year-old self decided to grace the rest of the family with the gift of receiving a new edition of The Paper News in their inbox.
As I got a little older, I decided it was time to retire from my job with The Paper News and move on to bigger and better things. When I started high school, I began to write for my high school's student run newspaper, and by the time I was a senior, I had my own column in the Arts & Entertainment section.
Early into my college career at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, I took advantage of all the school had to offer, and got involved with online publications, such as Stories Beneath the Shell and The Mitzpeh. Additionally, I have had the great fortune to hold amazing internships at places like ABC 7 News - WJLA-TV, The View and SiriusXM, which have allowed me to further hone in on my skills and discover a true passion for broadcast and production. Currently, I am a Senior Creative Production Assistant at the Tamron Hall Show.
Outside of the classroom, office or studio, I can be found listening to show tunes, watching talk shows or eating chocolate chip cookies.
